IT'S A BOY! To say Mark wanted a boy was an understatement. Not to say he'd have be bummed about a girl . . . everyone knows a healthy baby is all anyone really wants. However, Mark really wanted a boy. The plan was for Mark to come to the waiting area and get Aubrie. W/o saying anything to us about the sex of the baby, he whisked Aubrie to meet the new baby. When they returned, we were to notice which onesie Aubrie held - it was either monogrammed with pink letters or blue letters. THAT is how we would know girl or boy.
Well, when Mark came to get Brie, we saw his face. We knew in that moment Mark had a son. He could NOT hide the sheer joy and glow in his face. When he left the room, we all looked at each other and said, "It's a boy." We just knew. When he and Aubrie returned with the onesie monogrammed in blue, it just solidified what we already knew in our hearts. Mark was BEAMING! Cole Maxwell Rucker was born 7-19-11, 7# 15 oz., 20 1/2 inches long. (Maxwell was Tom's dad's name). Cole is precious. Love his little button nose. He looks alot like Brie (not how Brie looked as an infant, but how Brie looks at present.)
